So happy you are bringing this to light, Arthur. We don't need to pay the prescription costs but Mulgrew doesn't seem to care that we do. Th thing is...everyone who is still alive will be affected by this so it should be an issue for the in-service people as well. Thank you, Arthur, for all you do. And yes, I signed the petition.

This is why it is disingenuous for the UFT to oppose 1096. Administrative code 12.126 stopped the City and the MLC (i.e. the UFT and DC 37) from making retirees and their dependents pay for Medicare Part B and GHI Senior Care.

Retirees need 1096 to write their health care into law.

This Mayor or the next Mayor under the Bentkowski decision can force retirees and their dependents into a Medicare Advantage Plan.

Shame on the UFT for saying that 1096 would harm collective bargaining or their right to Medicare Part B and Senior Care.

But Mulgrew and his lawyer has no sense of shame or sense of decency.
