I am a retiree of DC37 I emailed them aletter, stating, truthfilly, I had read Chapter14 of NYS Civil Service Law, Public Employees Fair Employment Act, aka the Taylor Law. I told them there was nothing in Intro1096 contravening that law , asking them to provide citations. I also asked where MLC was allowed to negotiate health benefits. There was no response from Garridos allies.]
It's kind of remarkable they treat us like that. I'm a teacher, and sometimes we get called New York's Brightest. DC37 and UFT bosses treat us, and you, like we're New York's Stupidest.

It's disgusting. I wouldn't be surprised if predatory insurance companies are watching Marianne like hawks -but, hell, they've got less targeting work to do with friends like Mulgrew and Garrido. And, NOPE, we won't let Mulgrew achieve the amnesia he hopes to pull off on the members. Marianne deserves nothing but our full gratitude and support! Anything else is insane!
Their position seems to be they can be abusive and dishonest, work against our interests, and lie outright, but no one outside of our union is allowed to notice.
You said it Arthur. And compound that with how Mulgrew took a predatory position against other unions in 2014 by raiding the Health Insurance Stabilization Fund to only benefit UFT raises. Hell with listening to those "outsiders," and heaven forbid they might also be experts on healthcare and labor movement like Marianne.
Disgraceful. And if not for Marianne and critical pieces by you and from other ABC members, and our other amazing Amy Arundell, we wouldn't be aware of how deceptive and hideous Mulgrew has and still continues to be. A Better Contract MUST win!

Thanks Laura. I don't either. Their big thing now is attacking Marianne. They want us to forget that she protected Medicare while they attacked it.
