My thoughts exactly, Arthur, especially the part where you said " he thinks he's smarter than we are." I couldn't believe he kept harping on amending Admin Code 12-126 which we beat back a year ago! He thinks we are fools but he's the fool if he thinks anybody believes his bull.

He seems to feel we know nothing about the second case. He probably sits around 52 Broadway surrounded by his paid sycophants. None of the can anticipate that members actually pay attention, perhaps because they themselves can't be bothered.

BRAVO Arthur! I attended virtually and couldn't have described it better. Great debunking on many of the lies Mulgrew shamelessly delivered. The more he persists, the more he proves he doesn't care about what's true, nor for the life and death impact he is having on countless individuals as he pushes to privatize Medicare and eliminate the hard earned health plans NYC retirees already paid for and have been contractually promised. Many credentialed, well-intentioned people - like Marianne Pizzitola-- have tried to offer him harmless, doable ways to fix what he raided out of the Health Insurance Stabilization Fund for UFT raises, yet he continues to ignore, attack and use his energy to refine his deceptive strategies and intimidate City Council-- all the while, shamelessly pushing us within the lair of the biggest scammers of the country. Good luck with anyone who believes that any union (not to mention one run by dishonest Mulgrew and his loyalists) would be able to police Aetna or any Medicare Advantage Plan.. I was fuming after this meeting. So, again, huge thanks for writing this very needed piece! Mulgrew MUST step down!

Thanks for your kind words. He will not step down. It's imperative, this year, to get rid of Tom Murphy and his cult. Next year we will get rid of Mulgrew and his goons.

Does anyone else find it insulting that they prepared a PowerPoint on avoiding telephone scams for a bunch of retired teachers? How stupid do they think we are?

(Raises hand) Me! I do.
