Yes, Unity and Susan Pulice stole the official Facebook page. They are even giving it a new name. I wrote her a message on messenger and I was not sweet.

Yes, that is how it appears. However, the situation is in flux. The fact is 6300 people signed up thinking it was an official UFT page. Those people deserve to be on an official UFT page, and signed up for nothing else. We shall see what happens, and we may know in a few days.

What kind of union leadership do we have that does not share email addresses with the leadership of RTC?. How is Bennett or any officer able to communicate? Murphy used to send out emails. Oh he was an inside member of UNITY! Thanks Arthur for exposing Mulgrew and company.

This should go out to all members of RTC.

Thank you. I've written a piece, for NY Teacher, describing where we stand on various lawsuits. I'd like that to be a regular column. I will let you know whether or not it gets by UFT censors, and if it does not, I will post it here. I do not have access to RTC email, nor do any of the elected officials.

In an unrelated matter, why doesn’t the RTC

have a say on the UFT Welfare Fund which has a significant impact on the dental health therefore the overall health of retirees and their dependents

RTC now has 300 delegates in the DA. We certainly have a say. Were the measure to raise dental compensation to come up now, it would pass.

Yes but shouldn’t the current RTC President be on the Board of Trustees of the UFT Welfare Fund as the previous President of the RTC was?

Probably. Come to the meeting and ask Mulgrew why that isn't the case. I suppose they don't like to be questioned by anyone who hasn't signed a loyalty oath. Yet another flagrant inequity from the Unity machine.

So Medicare will be saved if we all vote for Kamala? This will be the message at the October DA. Mulgrew has stated that he no longer supports Medicare disadvantage. I don’t believe any of it. Oh and how does a libertarian come to turn a blind eye to genocide and the war machine supported by both parties? Just saying.

This is all very disturbing and depressing.

I'd say it's disappointing. But I'd also say Unity has some serious misconceptions about what it takes to win elections. No one wants leaders like these.

I’m one of those with a skeptic attitude toward the parties. I formed an opinion about Harris long before she became VP after seeing her on TV at hearings and reading about her rhetoric. My issue is singular in nature. To save TRADITIONAL MEDICARE AS THE Coverage for Health under Social Security and the supplemental paid coverage of MY choice by the CITY. Contributed to that my entire career, earned it and was promised it. That is my fight. I trust NO POLITICIAN to secure it. Only the people who need it and worked for it with the help of the legal system can secure it. I also have one burning question how can Union retiree leaders align themselves with single payer or Medicare for All instead of MEDICAID for all and say they are protecting our singular purpose for being in this fight? One contradicts the other. We have paid for what we wish to keep and are STILL PAYING for it. When aligning with politicians on either side our individual right to vote for whom we want is akin to force us to vote for what others who lead the Unions want! Not rank and file who should matter most. The Teamster’s Leader took the courageous step in NOT supporting any political candidate from their Union. They kept America’s voting fairness as it should be private, individual and fair. Not clumped into the wants of others. Separated it like Church and State.
