Based on Mr. Mulgrew’s new position against Medicare Advantage, shouldn’t the UFT publicly endorse the bills in the City Council and the New York State Legislature to preserve Medicare and Medicare supplement coverage at no cost for New York City retirees and their dependents?
Easy would be you doing your homework before making baseless assertions. I've been writing online for 19 years. I'm published in the NY Daily News, the NY Post, Gotham Gazette, City Limits, Huffington Post and elsewhere. I'm an advocate for better health care for all Americans. I'm an advocate for public education. I'm an advocate for lower class sizes, for the students I serve. I'm pro-labor, pro-union, and this page specifically exists to improve union. And while you ponder that, you may want to read this: https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/trump-republicans-privatize-medicare-1234960808/
So let's see. You assume I share exactly the same objectives as you (whatever they may be), and if I do not, I do not wish to win (whatever it is you have determined we need to win).

Absolutely. I've written that here at least once. In fact, I'd argue they should make sure it's passed, not simply pay lip service to it.
Don’t stop writing, Arthur. They have a lasting impact. More people read your words than the “like” buttons indicate.
Thanks for your encouragement, Larry. I appreciate it. According to Substack, thousands read these pieces.
I am hoping the UFT leadership reads your columns and comments.
I'm sure they read. I'm equally sure they won't comment, I'm afraid.
LET US MAKE IT EASY
PLEASE STATE YOUR OBJECTIVES

We should keep their site free from politics
I support you
However if you cannot keep this free from politics you will divide us
which we do not need
Marianne organization does not make political so we are all united
Let us work on our objectives
Thank you
I am not Marianne. I paint what I see. Anyone who does not wish to see it is free to look elsewhere.
Marianne put together a great organization and got results
I want to win and achieve our objectives
I thought you did too
So let's see. You assume I share exactly the same objectives as you (whatever they may be), and if I do not, I do not wish to win (whatever it is you have determined we need to win).
