Damn Arthur, are you aware that Fran Drescher, the firebrand has thrown her Medicare eligible retirees into a Medicare Advantage plan? These retirees actually paid into a fund earmarked to pay for their Medigap plan in retirement. Ms. Firebrand has done her own bait and switch. Please check this out. I agree that her speech was fantastic, except for the part about sharing the money made, but once again, we need to look at the whole picture.

I was not, and that's very disappointing to hear. Still, I don't see her doing it to save money for the studios. That's a step beyond.

The move to push SAG retirees into a MAP results in the retirees having out money into a fund that is no longer providing them with the Medicare supplement that they paid for. Not saving money for the studios, certainly saving money for the union. Once again theft or bait and switch on the backs of the elderly. We do agree in Mulgrew and his patronage jobs that keep him in power. Patronage jobs that enable him to manipulate the politics of NYS and with Weingarten, who’s surely driving the show, drive politics across the nation.

Yes. While it was insane we agreed to save the city billions of dollars in exchange for contracts that approach or lag way behind cost of living, there are ways to do it far preferable to throwing members under the bus. We could, for example, have consolidated all the Welfare Funds. This, though, would cost Unity patronage gigs, and that's the source of their power.
