We have a right to be accurately critical of any and all organizations we belong to in order to have clarity, make the organization stronger and be fairer. Listen to a real union leader here. Our unions do not negotiate for retirees!

Absolutely not. Nor should they sell us out and assume we are too feeble to notice,

This is fantastic. You beautifully state what retirees are feeling. We are now mobilized to fight. I send your posts to many in service UFT members. Many are awakening to how Unity and Mulgrew do not have our best interests at heart.

Thanks for your kind words Susan.

I would stress how important all those who read your well-written commentaries to share with all UFT members and ask that they share.

I need your writing to make me angry and motivate me to fight the good fight against our corrupt, lying, anti democrartic union.

Thanks for waging this part of the fight. I would also like to see our Chapter discuss the looming threat of deportations and what we could do to resist it. A Chapter Committee would be a place to start.

I have asked NYC Teacher Guy (whoever he or she is) to explain why Unity/MLC agreed in the 2018 Agreement to save $600 million in health care costs per year not just for the term of the Agreement but for every year thereafter, he calls me names but refuses to answer.

Would NYC Teacher Guy, Mr. Mulgrew or anyone from Unity answer that question.

I will not allow anonymous Unity posters in this comment section. I deem it disingenuous that you hide the fact that you are affiliated with Unity and/ or hold a union job. I have banned two anonymous Unity posters. They are cowards and may spew their falsehoods elsewhere. That said, I have allowed Unity commenters who used their real names.
