Kudos Arthur!

I would like to add that UNITY/Michael Mulgrew tried to not only put retirees into Medicare Advantage, but was trying to privatize our hard earned, deserved healthcare. What public union wants to use a privatized system for healthcare?! That’s not Union when a union makes deals with the bosses that hurt former and present employees. I say vote for ABC.

I also want to thank you and Marianne Pizzatola for always supporting the retirees. We won the RTC because of the outreach of you both.

Thanks for your kind words, Patricia, and I couldn't agree more. We don't do this for Aetna--we do it for one another.

I like reading your articles and thank you for the writing you do. But I just got an email from ARISE which looks like it's aligned with MORE. I don't know if you know anything about that coalition. Is it different/similar to ABC? How to compare? Are you together with ARISE?

Thank you for your kind words. We are independent and unaffiliated with any caucus, or groups of caucuses. We believe in member voice and categorically reject the undemocratic measures cited in the article.

Why do you feel ABC is better than ARISE? My number 1 priority is getting Mulgrew out, but the language ABC uses is nearly identical to Unity, why should I not be concerned this group will create a Mulgrew 2.0?

I see no evidence you've read the piece on which you're commenting.

UNITY is a caucus that demands that its members vote like their leader. They sign a pledge to do so. ABC is a slate that will allow everyone a seat at the table, with all voices being heard. ABC is a complete change from the top down leadership style of Michael Mulgrew.

The fact that ousted Unity stalwart Paul Egan is part of the ABC slate, though not included in this article, would be seem to be one piece of evidence supporting this concern.

It would be, I suppose, if you ignored our actual positions.

I see; so ignore Paul Egan's entire dubious history with Unity and the egregious allegations that saw him cast aside, abut don't ignore your stated positions?

Seems like a big ask for any of us looking for a true transformation in our union.

His candidacy for secretary was an unforeseen and very disappointing, still inexplicable and unaddressed, development that seems to go against your purported positions and will make it very difficult to vote for ABC.

Really disheartening and hard to understand, taints the whole movement.

I don't recall suggesting that. What I said was this would be valid if you ignored our actual positions. And of course, that's exactly what you did.

In my defense, Egan's baggage makes it difficult. And the associated lack of integrity casts doubt on all of ABC's positions regardless. Potential voters don't deserve an explanation? Reminiscent of typical Unity level lack of transparency and character.

Much as I appreciate your facility with wholly unsubstantiated innuendo, it still amounts to argumentum ad hominem. That, in fact, would not be valid even if did NOT ignore our positions. Of course, you've done that as well.
