For those who live in Manhattan: Lyle Frank, the judge who has consistently ruled in favor of the retirees, is on the ballot. He has been an interim judge and is now running for a permanent position. Please vote for him.

Has Mr. Mulgrew ever explained why he agreed to provide 600 million dollars in health care savings each year when he talks about health care inflation spiraling out of control?

Curiously, he tends not to mention that. Go figure.

I agree with this article 100 percent. Mulgrew has monopolized the union to his advantage for all of his Presidential years. Guess he’s still paying the City back for not getting rid of his sorry self after all of those sexual exploits he’s had in the school buildings while he was a “teacher.” Instead of fighting for Us the members, he’s always been on the City’s side no matter who the mayor! Im so ashamed of this union! Wish I were in any other union that understands how to fight for its members!!!!!

I'm not ashamed of the union. That would be you and me. Let's vote out the people who fail to rep us.

Can a formal investigation open about how our contract was passed. I know of numerous people who did not get to vote. They never received in mail or otherwise. I find it beyond shady how with a week of school left- we were forced to vote and no one I have spoke to voted yes- just saying—— what can be done?

I don't think the vote was rigged. I think people were desperate for whatever, and our bosses failed to negotiate. If the MLC can organize to demean our health care, it can also organize for a minimum acceptable increase.

I agree 1000% with every single word you said Arthur. I advised all my colleagues to vote no for this lousy contract. I too have lost many doctors because GHI pays so poorly. I have felt like an island unto myself for many years now. I have often wondered how am I the only one who sees Mulgrew for what he is. I am so grateful for you.

Thanks for your kind words. You're not the only one who sees this. And I'd argue it's not just Mulgrew, but also his caucus. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
