It is outrageous, and we stop it by voting the bastards out. Meanwhile, why don't you come to an RTC or DA meeting and ask Mulgrew? He adores questions.
You are correct in saying you give us all information we need and seek. I’m very grateful to subscribe to you and read your information here. Thank you!
My father escaped from East Germany. I visited Berlin in 1977. East Berlin was like walking into a black and white TV show while West Berlin was bright and colorful. The train ride from West Germany was unnerving with machine guns aimed at the train cars in which I sat. Going through the checkpoints was surreal and at times frightening - wondering, "What if they don't allow me back into the West?". The struggles of my father's youth and the horrors that he witnessed are not the things to be alluded to when speaking of union leadership in the United States of America. With every article you write, you speak with venom about Michael Mulgrew but do not present unifying solutions for strengthening the United Federation of Teachers. In a country where many people are trying to break up unions, why do you continually contribute to the internal discord? Why are you not presenting ways to align all caucuses towards the power of a collective, unified body with the common goal of improved employee working environments/conditions/retirements? With the RTC article, what I read was in first person by Bennett. Yes, there was other RTC news, but why not write to Suzanne Popadine (editor) for clarification or rebuttal if necessary? Your laser focus on a caucus that has been around since 1962 and its elected president, in my unsolicited opinion, is derisive, divisive and not solution-based.
There is an opposition retiree caucus called Retiree Advocate and we won the election against Unity. I reach out to teachers I know, but I also work part time in the school where I was once CL. You need to be invited by the chapter leader to get into a school to address staff. If you know someone in a school that person could stuff mailboxes for you. .
It is outrageous that a column was published in the RTC section without the President of the RTC’s input.
Can something be done so it does not happen again?

The question I want to ask him at the DA is what real actions have you taken? Words are meaningless. Why do you still support Adam's appeal?
He'll blame MLC, though he was instrumental in getting them there.

Thank you Kathy. I wouldn't go so far as to say I give all the info you need. I would say, though, that I give you more than Unity does.
Very well written! Thanks for uncovering and sharing the truth!
Thank you Jessica!
Thank you!
You're very welcome!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Can retirees form another caucus to reach out to unaffiliated teachers and DOE school staff?
