And the Queen mother, Randi Weingarten, who made Mulgrew the King of the UFT, fights to save democracy for the nation while she squashes it for her subjects.

Ironic, when you put it like that.

You've been totally crushing it, Arthur! -and kudos to Dan for the impressive graphic. This parody piece helps us laugh while giving us a perfect description of what Mulgrew and his Unity caucus are about. Upton Sinclair couldn't have agreed more with your use of his quote! Thank you for all you're doing, and for making things so clear and usefully bearable.

Thank you Laura. It was a pleasure seeing you and meeting your husband today. It's parody, but life looks more like parody every day. I think I'm going to lean into this, because I really think that's what they are. Or perhaps that's what they think. Regardless, that's why they need to go.

Oh - the pleasure was ours! And how awesome that you got to rally right up to Aetna on your day off. Who wasn't there? Why, of course, our Royal Highness Mulgrew and his Unity 1%ers! Write as you must Arthur -because these union frauds MUST go!

Thanks for your kind words Alan. It was a pleasure to meet you as well. I work three days a week, so I was very happy this happened on a day off.

Mulgrew is not the “King.” He is a loyal subject who has been granted a fiefdom from which he may receive dues check off so long as he proves his loyalty by controlling the serfs in his fiefdom. Mulgrew is pledged to refrain from engaging the membership in any form of concerted action lest he loose his checkoff and be sent to jail himself. The member/serf is also threatened with the two for one penalty should they force the union to call a strike. Of course retirees may not be subject to that penalty but there may be consequences for retirees that I’m not aware of. In any case these are serious considerations that are not solved by a simple changing of the guard or mitigated by clever satire. The unity caucus has lost the support of it formerly most supportive constituency but it will be up to the working members to oust the unity caucus and face the challenges that Mulgrew is sorely aware of but has bent the knee to.

I really hope Unity does get voted out of office

It seems long overdue, in light of all the information, both you and Marianne have alerted us to, that the rank and file active and retired need to stand and deliver. It’s one thing to keep writing about what this Union Leader and other Union Leaders along with the Mayor has done to further the damage that has been done for years against members. There are laws that need to be put on the books that truly protect retirees and active member’s futures. Ousting this guy and Garrido and Adams would be great, but the people that take their places need to be willing to protect the City Employees in all titles. I’m so tired of all the complicated roads to follow among all the corruption and selfishness I have witnessed for decades, by Union and City Leadership. The writing on the wall for the political side of this is that NY consistently votes for party over policy. It is the same idea within the realm of the Unions. Policy to truly help the City employees is what matters. Without all of us the City doesn’t function. That is never considered when voting comes around, instead it’s we endorse so and so because we should, not because their policy reflects upon us as individuals. We chose to be part of collective when given false assurances. This all has to change in order for us to be truly represented.

I agree with you I never vote Dem and there is way to much corruption going on right now in NYC
