My personal feelings are this. As long as the Paras get the support and help they need to survive financially no credit is needed by any one or any union or organization that got them everything they needed. I feel the same way about what the retirees have needed for the past 5 years and even prior to that time. I do what I can and as often as I can not nearly a tad as much as Marianne and you do, but at least I do something and wish more of us would all do that same tad. But credit no. That is the last thing I would need personally. Knowing I did what I could is my own self gratification to live with a clear conscious. I want the Unions and the City to stop harming the Retirees and others in this City. I want them to open their hearts and minds to see the harm they are constantly causing from their greed and egotistical, power hungry personalities. It’s a daily fight. It is unfair. It is unjust but sadly it exists. Marianne and you as leaders are the best thing that has ever happened to all of us and that isn’t “credit” in my eyes that is actual reality. Do I appreciate you both, yes more than I can ever fully express. Because without you guys most of us would never have survived. So the thanks I always try to say is directly from my heart.
You and Marianne are an unbeatable combination ! What musical instrument do you play ? Are you part of a band or do you just play for pleasure ? Curious because I have a BM from Manhattan School of Music. My musician friends are smart , creative and always bring interesting perspectives to our conversations.
Thanks Katherine. I like to play bluegrass fiddle, but lately a band from PA has been hiring me to play mandolin. They like me because I can sing the high harmony parts, but now I feel like I have to practice the thing. It's starting to kind of grab me.
Arthur, thank you for all that you do. Particularly, thank you for your relentless work to proteect us. If only Unity would help..
Thanks Maggie, and I think they will, now. They just have to be motivated.
